当研究室でのインターンシップを終えたEnzoさんから、レポートが届きました！5月から8月までの約4ヶ月間、お疲れ様でした。
We have received a report from Enzo who has completed his internship in our lab! Thank you very much for your hard work over the 4 months from May to August.

From May to August, I had the opportunity to do an internship in the Ohmori Group at IMS. It was a wonderful experience and an important moment in my life.
I worked with the “Pulse” laser team under the supervision of Matsubara-sensei. The aim of my internship was to use nonlinear optics with a Q-switched laser to generate UV light. This is very useful because it makes it possible to excite an atom to a Rydberg state using only one photon.
This project was very interesting, and I was able to discover many new concepts in atomic physics and nonlinear optics that I had not encountered before. I also really enjoyed the experimental aspect of the internship. I was given a lot of freedom in my work, which allowed me to rely on my own experience and develop my experimental skills through hands-on work. I had the opportunity to perform many experiments and, as a result, gained a much better understanding of the different techniques involved.
Moreover, the atmosphere in the laboratory was really pleasant. Everyone in the group was very kind and welcoming, and it was a pleasure to work with all of them. I truly appreciated the friendly environment and the opportunity to interact with people from different backgrounds.
It was also an amazing opportunity to discover Japan. Experiencing its culture and exploring its landscapes was very interesting and memorable. Living in Okazaki was also a great experience. There are many things to do in the city and plenty of places to eat. I felt very comfortable living there, and I will never forget this experience.
Finally, I would like to sincerely thank everyone in the Ohmori Group for making this internship such an unforgettable experience. I learned a lot, both scientifically and personally, and I would highly recommend doing an internship in this group.
