We presented at 2023 Quantum Control of Light and Matter Conference GRC

Seven members of Ohmori Lab. participated in the 2023 Quantum Control of Light and Matter Conference GRC held in Newport, U.S.A. On the first day, Prof. Kenji Ohmori gave a welcome speech to the participants as the chairperson, and on the second day, Dr. Sylvain gave a presentation entitled “Ultrafast Control of Rydberg Atoms with Pulsed Lasers for Cold-Atom Quantum Computing and Simulation”

On the second and fourth days, there were poster presentations by Dr. Sylvain, Tom, Akané, Metkham, Aito, and Mahesh. The titles and abstracts of each poster are as follows (See Akane’s report on this conference here):

  • de Léséleuc, Sylvain “Ultrafast control of Rydberg atoms with pulsed lasers for cold-atom quantum computing and simulation”
  • Denecker-Desmonts, Tom “Fast feed-forward cancellation of laser phase noise for cold atom experiments”
  • Makino, Akane”The Moonshot Research and Development Program of Japan”
  • Pravongviengkham, Metkham “Laser Cooling and Trapping Techniques for Enhanced Single-Atom Loading in Optical Tweezers”
  • Tanaka, Aito “Non-destructive state-selective imaging of cold Rubidium atoms with a compact and integrated laser system”
  • Mahesh,Tirumalasetty Panduranga”Toward high-fidelity ultrafast excitation between two single Rydberg atoms”
