【Vincent’s Comments】Dr. Lewis Ruks (NTT basic research laboratories) told us about “Light propagation through layered atomic arrays” at Ohmori Lab. He nicely explained to us how multiple-scattering in sub-wavelength metamaterials could lead to exotic properties of the light propagation such as the emergence of a negative index of refraction.
