PARTY

Setsubun & Ehomaki Party👹

February 3rd was Setsubun! This year again, everyone enjoyed eating Ehomaki while facing the year’s lucky direction and doing the traditional bean‑throwing ritual. 👹

Here’s a glimpse of everyone silently eating their Ehomaki while facing south‑south‑east👇

After finishing our Ehomaki, it was time to choose the demons for the bean‑throwing! We selected the “oni” roles using a fun lottery-style amidakuji. ✌

And the chosen ones were… Magro (Mag-chan) and Seiya! 👏
Both of them played their demon roles perfectly—thank you for your hard work! 😊

Since the Omori Lab has many members from overseas, we like to host events like this so that everyone can experience a bit of Japanese culture during their stay. ⭐

This year, we also visited Rokusho Shrine, located near IMS, to participate in their Setsubun festival and receive a special blessing.
It was a truly memorable experience! 😉♫
