Business Trip

We visited Okazaki Junior High School :)

We visited Okazaki Junior High School, affiliated with Aichi University of Education, together with international researchers and students. This was our fourth visit.

As part of our project, we joined a group of students who are studying Japanese bento culture. We had discussions and cultural exchange around topics such as:

  • Why are Japanese bento lunch boxes popular among foreigners?
  • What makes Japanese bento special from an international point of view?
  • How is lunch culture different between Japan and other countries?

It was a great opportunity for everyone to learn from each other and share ideas. We thank the students and teachers for welcoming us again this year!

We received many thoughtful questions and ideas from the students. It was clear that they had prepared their opinions in English before the class, and we were very impressed!

The international researchers praised the students, saying, “Amazing ideas! And great pronunciation!”
We were also moved by how hard the students tried to express themselves in English.

After the class, we were invited to explore the school.
The researchers were very excited to see a blackboard and chalk for the first time!
They enjoyed drawing cute pictures and learning how to use them.

Thank you again to everyone at Okazaki Junior High School for this special experience!

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks for providing us with such a meaningful opportunity for cultural exchange. 😁
All members of the Ohmori Lab are sincerely looking forward to the next opportunity to exchange ideas and have discussions with the students again!
